September 4th!
Kindermusik Village - ages newborn to 1 1/2 years (lap
babies, crawlers & toddlers).
The children in this age group are changing more rapidly than at
any other time in their development. Two key elements to
Kindermusik Village are variety and repetition. Home
activities help involve and educate the parent about the importance
of baby's musical learning and reinforce concepts learned in class.
Village introduces multiple levels of activities appropriate for the
different stages of development in this age range. Relaxation
and social times are built into the 45-minute lesson to meet adult
needs. There are 2 curricula for Village (2 sets of materials). Each curricula will last 6
weeks. Feathers introduces Baby and Parent/Caregiver to the
musical poems of Woody Guthrie, bird songs, and the naturally
occurring sounds in nature help babies develop an early
appreciation-and accelerated aptitude-for language, movement, and
music in this class. Both jazz and classical selections, a
Yiddish folk song, a Muskogean melody, and Mother Goose rhymes set
to music are just a few of the colorful and exciting pieces
introduced in this curriculum. Home Materials: CD with over 25
specially selected recordings from class. Kindermusik
chimeball, a colorful picture book of birds, Feathers, and a set of
Art Banners for the nursery wall that strengthens vision and
promotes early literacy. Do-Si-Do stimulates a wonderfully
unique experience of rhythm and movement for Baby and Parent/Caregiver.
Pick up your baby and dance. Dance the Charleston, the Tango,
and the Cha-Cha and learn why dancing with your baby helps develop
vital learning skills-from head to toe. In this class, play a
variety of baby appropriate instruments, a dance with fun props.
Home Materials: CD with songs from class, an instrument-Kindermusik
eggshaker and scarf, a picture board book, Do-Si-Do with lilting
move to it rhyming text, and a set of Art Banners for the nursery
wall that strengthens vision and promotes early literacy.

Kindermusik Our Time ages 18 months-3 years (18 months by
August 15, 2009)
Our Time encourages toddlers to uncover an engaging musical
world while building confidence, self-control, and communications
skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming, and object
identification foster language skills, while creative movement to
various musical "moods" develops a sense of balance, timing, and
spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking, encourage
blossoming social skills, foster language skills. Our Time
reflects the emotional foundations of school readiness and the
latest research on music and early childhood development.
Our Time is a unique opportunity for parent and child to
interact and learn together in an unhurried and joyful manner.
Wiggles and Giggles: Wiggles & Giggles is all about movement
(Wiggles) and fun, funny words and sounds, and emotion (Giggles).
There is a strong connection in this semester to the Our Time
theme of bound away and back. The songs are about humor,
laughter, silly sounds and words and movements. The child is
going back and forth between being independent and wanting mommy and
daddy. Everyday activities like bath time and highlighted in
the delightful book "Pete and PJ" from the Kindermusik library.

Kindermusik Imagine That! - ages 3 1/2-5 years
This class is designed for children to attend without an adult for
about 30-35 minutes and
then Parent/Caregivers and siblings join the class for the last
10-15 minutes for sharing time. The first day of class parents
stay for the entire class with no siblings. Within the weekly
lessons and at home, your preschooler's unique affinity to learn
through pretend play is the foundation to this musical curriculum.
See What I Saw: Books, storytelling, language, drama, puppets -
these are all essential ingredients to the Imagine That
curriculum. Each acts as a dramatic catalyst for integrating
thematic songs, activities, events and feelings. In See What I
Saw, you will enjoy the many wonders of a trip to Grasshopper Park.
The music represents a variety of different cultures with songs from
Ghana, Latin America, Greece and France. You will find some
favorites including "Ha Ha This-A-Way". "Jim Along Josie", and "Mr.
Sun", "A Tisket, A Tasket", "Shoo Fly" and "Alee Galloo".

"Everything is Just Fine".

Kindermusik Family Time
This class is a multi-layered learning environment with the older
children ready to show the little ones how it's done and the younger
ones eager to learn. During each lesson, you will be
introduced to basic musical concepts, and you will have the
instruments, and the structured free time to put those concepts into
play. Your children will listen to instruments and to each
other, learn from their peers and older children, and enjoy music
and movement with hoops, scarves and tumble-around play. In
Make Way for Music, families will sing, dance and move their way
through an exploration of several elements of music: beat and
rhythm, concepts and contrasts (such as staccato and legato, high
and low, the major scale, and arpeggios), the human voice,
instrument families, and ensemble. They'll engage in

enjoy together, including finger plays, songs, circle dances, story
time, and family jam. Home Materials: Two books, Drum
